Why it works on PC
An Android emulator is a virtual Android phone inside your computer. Apps need native code that matches the emulator's processor type, and Top Follow 8.4.6 ships libraries for x86 and x86_64 (Intel/AMD PCs) as well as arm64-v8a (phones and Apple-silicon Macs). So it runs directly, without slow translation.
Microsoft's Windows Subsystem for Android, which let Windows 11 run APKs directly, was discontinued in March 2025. Guides that still recommend it are out of date.

Any of them works as long as the virtual device runs Android 7.0 or newer. Download emulators only from their official websites. Bundled "Top Follow for PC" installers from APK sites are a common way to spread adware.
Install Top Follow on Windows (BlueStacks example)
- Check virtualization is on
Emulators need hardware virtualization (Intel VT-x or AMD-V). It's on by default on most PCs. If the emulator complains, enable it in your BIOS/UEFI settings.
- Install the emulator
Download BlueStacks from bluestacks.com and install it. In its Multi-Instance Manager, create an instance with a 64-bit Android version if the default isn't one.
- Download the APK on your PC
Use our download page. Check that the file is 9.2 MB. On Windows you can verify it with
certutil -hashfile TopFollow_v846-Release.apk SHA256. - Install it into the emulator
Drag the APK onto the BlueStacks window, or use the "Install APK" button in the side toolbar.
- Open Top Follow and sign in

Install Top Follow on a Mac
- Install Android Studio
It's free from developer.android.com. Open Device Manager and create a virtual phone.
- Choose the right system image
On Apple-silicon Macs (M1 and newer), pick an arm64-v8a image. On Intel Macs, pick x86_64. API level 24 or higher either way. An image with Google Play makes signing in to other Google services easier.
- Start the virtual phone and drop in the APK
Drag the downloaded file onto the emulator window to install it.
- Open Top Follow
Sign in with your task account and follow the normal steps.
Tips specific to emulators
- Expect more security checks. Instagram sees a new "device", so confirm "Was this you?" prompts in the official Instagram app on your phone.
- One task account per emulator instance. Several accounts acting from one IP address at the same time gets blocked faster.
- Allow the auto bot to run. Some emulators pause apps when the window is minimised; check the emulator's performance or "background" settings.
- Keep the emulator updated, because new Android versions and Top Follow updates occasionally need newer emulator builds.
Frequently asked questions
Is there an official Top Follow app for Windows?
No. The developer only publishes the Android APK. On a PC you run that APK inside an Android emulator.
Which emulator is best for Top Follow?
BlueStacks 5 is the easiest on Windows. Android Studio's emulator is the cleanest option and the best choice on Mac. Any emulator running Android 7.0 or newer works.
Why won't Top Follow install in my emulator?
The instance is probably running an Android version below Android 7.0, or it's a 32-bit ARM image. Create a 64-bit instance on a newer Android version and install again.
Can I use Windows Subsystem for Android?
No. Microsoft discontinued it in March 2025, so it's no longer a supported way to run Android apps on Windows 11.
